If the weather station/sensor is not functioning properly, please con tact us directly. Our customer support staff will replace the new one for free after collecting your situation information.
Is the sensor waterproof?
No, our outdoor sensors are only splash resistant. Adding a waterproof layer to the sensor chip would create a closed space, preventing direct detection of temperature and humidity in the air. This would result in poor detection sensitivity and inaccurate humidity readings. Our chip detects the air directly, ensuring higher accuracy and better flexibility.
Where should outdoor sensors be placed?
a. Mount the sensor vertically on a North-facing wall or in a well-shaded location to avoid direct sunlight and rain. Direct sunlight can cause higher temperature readings. Recommended placement: 6 inches below eaves or under a deck rail.
b. Ensure that the distance between the remote sensor and the main unit does not exceed 200 ft. If there is a wall between them, each wall is equivalent to a distance of 50 ft. Additionally, to avoid signal interference, please do not place the sensor or main unit close to metal objects, TVs, computers, etc.
